Welcome to Doña Ana County! A diverse community of many ethnicities and cultures, Doña Ana County is the second-most populated county in New Mexico at 180,464. Doña Ana County was created in 1852, and is one of 33 counties in New Mexico. The City of Las Cruces, the County's largest city with a population of 85,400, is ranked by Forbes as "the best small metro area for business and careers." Las Cruces is also the home of New Mexico State University, the home of New Mexico Cooperative Extension Service, as well as the Doña Ana Branch Community College.
